Try trading bread and cheese for better-for-you, better-tasting lunches. We’ve put together some easy lunch ideas you can whip up at home, pack into your bento lunch box or eat while you’re on the go. Make enough for the whole family or refrigerate your leftovers for an even easier midday meal tomorrow.

What Can I Eat for Lunch Instead of Sandwiches?

When it comes to finding the perfect noon pick-me-up, think outside the (lunch) box. If you need quick and easy food to make, try turning leftovers into an exciting new meal. Put last night’s chicken into a quesadilla, pair leftovers with a few of your favorite snacks for a lunch charcuterie board, or create a fresh salad with spare fruit or produce. Aim for a good balance of protein, healthy fats and fiber to keep you feeling satisfied until dinnertime.
